The “Lazy” Content Creator
Creating content to share on a consistent basis is a full time job that many of us only have part time to dedicate. The good news is, there’s an answer to that problem. I like to refer to this individual who falls into this category as The “Lazy” Content Creator. You simply don’t have a lot of time, or maybe don’t have the budget to dedicate to content creating. Here’s a go-to guide made just for you– 4 simple ways to get consistent content quick and easy-ish on your social media.
Turn Your Story into a Reel
Visual documentation is a must for any creator. Many of us utilize the instastory feature and the video goes away after 24 hours. Unless you save it to your highlights, which shows up at the top of your page in a little bubble. Or, you get fancy and turn your story into a reel, which is reely genius. It’s like a two for one special! Here’s how you do it: open instagram app > go to your story highlights > pick the highlight you want > click the three dots > select convert to reel > edit as you would a reel. Post it, and relax.
Text Over Video
Got a random video of you walking? Typing, or doing something random? Yeah, I know you do. WE ALL DO. So take that video, overlay it with a quote or meaningful words, something that correlates to you/your brand, add some music and BOOM! There you have it, another piece of “lazy” content.
Now, if you want to take it a step further, you can do a voiceover, which is also a growth hack/technique because now you own an “audio”. This audio can be used by other people on the platform. It will have your name attached so you will automatically be credited and get engagement whenever it is utilized.
Re-post a Milestone
Sings *Do You Remember the Time* by Michael Jackson. Memories and milestones that you reminisce about can be shared with your audience too. Especially if you’re looking to connect with your audience on a more personable level, sometimes this is the best way to do it. It’s a throwback so it’s not too invasive to your present, and you get to determine when you share those special moments.
Curate Content
Okay this one is my fav because you really don’t have to do anything. Except, have a good eye for good content that you didn’t create. All you have to do once you find said content that you like and it goes with your aesthetic, post it to your page (don’t forget to credit). Wallah, another “lazy” content hack complete. Not to mention, if you’ve ever posted someone else’s content on your page, congratulations, you’re a content curator now!
