New Year, New Growth Tips
One thing for certain, and two things for sure social media marketing is still reigning supreme when it comes to promoting your business and/or brand. If you have yet to tap in or put in the extra leg work to grow your business/brand, you are for sure missing out. The good news is, it’s never too late to get started, but you better hurry because the competition is getting thick. Starting off with this guide, I’m sharing 5 Social Media Growth Tips you should utilize in 2023 that will help you maximize your presence in the digital arena.
Facebook Reels
We all know that short form video content is where it’s at, and we’ve done so great on Instagram and TikTok finding our social media sweet spot, but Facebook reels is the secret gem for 2023. Yes, Facebook reels is the perfect place to expand your reach because the algorithm is in that same beginner phase as Instagram & TikTok was when they were first introduced. See, when an application introduces a new feature, you have the unique opportunity for your content to skyrocket because there’s pretty much no rules. It’s kinda like being one of the first to invest in a stock, when everyone jumps on the bandwagon you would have already set yourself up to make a fortune. All I’m saying is, you want to jump on Facebook reels in 2023, #caseclosed.
Long Form Content
Long form content like blogs and newsletters is nothing new, we all come from the era where long form content was like a necessity. Now that short form content such as reels has taken over in the digital space these past few years, brands and companies have somewhat strayed away from exercising long form content. However, consumers have proven that they will take the time to do the research on your product/service in order to make their final purchase decisions. Starting or refreshing a blog or podcast for consumers to refer to is still a good idea. For those avid and consistent shoppers long form content paired with cross promoting on social platforms is a no brainer– let get into it!
Live Content
This one is biased to retailers and brands who have an actual tangible product because I love to shop, plus I have a whole retail marketing degree. Now I’m sure this is all the same for those who don’t have a physical product but based on my observations live shopping is a thing, again. If you haven’t already, start planning to go live, show off your products, details, prices, quality, and end uses because people like to see it. This, at least for the first half of 2023 is going to be booming with extreme participation, and consumer engagement.
Partnerships
Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve settled into your social presence, partnerships are the keys to growth on social media– and in general for that matter. I highly suggest working with brands that complement yours, and/or with someone who’s directly within your industry. This tool allows you to be introduced to a different audience, network, and collaborate with more of your peers which ultimately expands your digital territory.
Strategic Content
To sum this all up, your main focus should be on building an ever evolving strategy for your social media accounts. Look at some of your favorite successful accounts, they all have a strategy. I’ve taken head to strategies that work and they are all so simple and consistent. The key to a successful social strategy is simplicity, implementation and consistency– all three are equally important.
